Beside the treasured pieces of El Greco collection he donated to the Museum of Fine Arts, the exhibition presents works by the "Celebrities" of Hungarian fine arts : Mihály Munkácsy, Károly Ferenczy, József Rippl-Rónai, Pál Szinyei Merse, Béla Uitz, Károly Kernstok and János Vaszary, which were broken up to foreign museums (inclusive Tate Gallery)as well as to private collections, here re-unioned to display the diversity and wealth of the “marchand amateur”.

    Gábor Krüzsely was born in ethnic Hungarian Ungvár of Ukraine in 1972. Earning his art degree in 1995, he went on to study visual communication in Eger’s Károly Eszterházy Teacher Training College. He’s always held a firm belief that painting and graphics are inseparable, which he never could or wanted to take apart. His colors and shapes reveal a unique touch. The figures of his paintings dance on a visible net – they embrace, do sports, perform circus acts and the like, they look for contact with one another, enjoy life...
