Bratislava, 15 March, 2013 – Hotels from the Kempinski network proved their position as accommodation leaders in Slovakia in the prestigious rankings by Top Trend Restaurants and Hotels 2013. The restaurants in these hotels also appeared at the highest position of the chart.

We are glad that our clients feel comfortable in our hotels and that their luxury and quality is also appreciated by the professional public”, said Branislav Babík, the Chairman of Board of Directors of Best Hotel Properties A.S., which has the hotels in its portfolio, in reference to the victory. The first place of the Top Trend Restaurants and Hotels 2013 chart belongs to the Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras in Štrbské Pleso. It is followed by Kempinski Hotel River Park Bratislava with the same number of points – 183. This year the professional jury evaluated more than 70 of the best hotels and more than 150 restaurants all over Slovakia. The key criteria being evaluated was the quality of the provided services.
The Kempinski hotels’ restaurants were also successful in the competition of the best restaurants in Slovakia. The Grand Restaurant of Hotel Kempinski in Štrbské Pleso obtained 4.5 out of 5 possible stars while gaining an absolute victory among the restaurants within the Prešov region. The River Bank restaurant in the Kempinski hotel in Bratislava also obtained 4.5 out of 5 possible stars. In this category, the jury evaluated the quality of served meals and drinks and the service but also the environment where the restaurant is situated. According to Branislav Babík, behind the success of the Kempinski hotels restaurants lies the innovative approach of the chefs, Gabriel Kocák and Bjoern Juhnke, as well as the special training that the hotels’ employees participate in.
