Chairman of Ayla Hotels & Tourism Co. Eng. Jawad Al Kassab gave an introductory speech to welcome the 400 VIP guests who attended, and to officially announce the hotel’s opening, which featured a live performance from the Amman Philharmonic Orchestra.
“We firmly believed that a luxury beach resort in Aqaba was a sound investment”, said Eng. Kassab on this occasion of the hotel’s grand opening. “We envisioned a resort that stressed style and comfort above anything else” Continued Kassab.
The opening marked the 3rd installment for the Kempinski Hoteliers group in Jordan, and the 6th in the Middle East.
“It was a magnificent evening. We were keen on managing this hotel, given the strategic importance of the destination, and our long-standing and successful relationship with the owners from their other property in the Dead Sea” said Reto Wittwer, President and CEO of Kempinski Hotels. “Jordan is primed to be one of the world’s most popular destinations, and we felt a 5-star deluxe hotel such as this one would be perfect in Aqaba” Wittwer continued.
