“Union Tree” planted at Emirates Palace

Emirates Palace hotel today planted a tree symbolizing the landmark union among the UAE’s seven Emirates as part of the country’s celebrations marking its 41st anniversary.

The hotel’s General Manager Mr. Bugra Berberoglu planted the “Union Tree” at Emirates Palace main entrance in response to an initiative by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice president and prime minister, ruler of Dubai.

The planting ceremony was attended by a number of Emirates Palace officials, media delegates visiting the UAE for the occasion, and many hotel guests.

Mr. Berberoglu said the hotel was keen to take this gesture given the tree’s major role in bolstering the people’s dedication to the homeland and promoting the “green culture” within the UAE community.
