Emirates Palace appoints new Director of Sales & Marketing

New director to oversee growth in new markets

Abu Dhabi 16 September 2013; Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, one of the world’s most prestigious hotels, has appointed Linda Steeger as the new Director of Sales and Marketing.

Ms. Steeger will be working to support the hotel’s sales and marketing activities, which have already had notable success in key feeder markets such as Germany, the USA and UK, and the GCC and will lead her team as they continue to grow in up and coming markets like China, Japan, Russia, and Brazil.

No stranger to landmark Kempinski properties Ms. Steeger joins the team at the Emirates Palace as part of a successful tenure with Kempinski that began eight years ago as a Sales Coordinator, and then Sales Manager, at Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin. After 3 years, Ms. Steeger moved on to Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski, Munich where she advanced from Assistant Director of Sales to Director of Sales and ultimately on to Director of Sales & Marketing and Essential Sales Master Trainer where she led her team to record sales for the property.


Ms. Steeger was recently recognized as the ‘Kempinski Director of Sales & Marketing of the year for Europe’ in January 2013 and brings more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, a degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management, and keen insights in to key markets, to her new role at Emirates Palace. She will be responsible for leading the sales, marketing, and groups & event departments and securing Emirates Palace's position as the market-leader in luxury hospitality in the Middle East.

Commenting on her new role Ms. Steeger said she was excited about the challenge to join the Emirates Palace team, adding “I am really looking forward to the opportunities that come from leading a team like ours at Emirates Palace. Working at a property that is considered an icon for tourism in Abu Dhabi and a symbol of luxury hospitality is an incentive for me to further develop my career and gain exceptional experience in the Middle Eastern market.”
