Munich, 21 June 2010; As of July 12, 2010, Axel Ludwig will take over the reigns of the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich. The 39-year old German previously held the position as General Manager at the Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo.
Axel Ludwig brings with him over 20 years of experience in the European luxury hotel segment. He joined Kempinski in 2003 at the Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Hamburg before moving to the famous Hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow. In 2007 he was appointed General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay Bodrum in Turkey.
Ludwig's international experience and fervour for unique service as well as operational innovation will enrich and enhance the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich.
King Maximilian II from Bavaria had the five-star hotel Vier Jahreszeiten built on his boulevard Maximilianstrasse in 1858 as the "most beautiful hotel in the city". Even today it has not lost its special atmosphere and still belongs to the most well-known luxury hotel group in Europe.
