Kempinski's first project in Ghana will be located in the heart of one of West Africa’s most exciting cities. The Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City will set a new standard of luxury in Accra and will boast the largest rooms in the city with a minimum size of 50 sqm. The hotel is set as the centerpiece of a larger mixed-use development, Gold Coast City, which covers an area of some 35 acres and will include residences, retail space, an exhibition center, offices, and government buildings.

The Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City will feature 269 rooms including 22 luxury suites and 2 presidential suites. The hotel will offer two restaurants, a lobby café with outside seating, a cocktail bar & Lounge, and 6000 sqm of shopping facilities, as well as a 2000 sqm Resense Spa with 14 treatment rooms, a beauty parlor and fitness center, a 25 meter outdoor swimming pool, 2 tennis courts.

The hotel’s conference and banqueting space covers an area of 1750 sqm and features a ballroom and 9 meeting rooms boasting state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, a fully-equipped business center and  business lounge.

The hotel is adjacent to the Accra International Conference Center, State House, National Theater, the Accra Sports Stadium, and various commercial office towers and ministry buildings.

Kempinski Hotel in Nairobi - Kenya 

Opening Q4 2012

The Kempinski hotel is located on the Uhuru Highway, within the Westlands area at the heart of Nairobi, a half hour drive from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The hotel will have 200 rooms and suites distributed throughout 10 floors, including a Presidential Suite on the top floor. The hotel will also feature three concept restaurants, including an All Day Dining restaurant, in addition to a bar and a Cigar Lounge.

With state-of-the-art banqueting and conference facilities, the hotel’s pillar-less grand ballroom will be able to seat 500 people. Additional facilities for smaller gatherings such asconferences, meetings and other events will also be available. The hotel will boast a spa with nine treatment rooms, and a fully equipped fitness centre.

The hotel will also manage the Olare Tented Camp - 12 luxury tents in the Massai Mara, a short flight away from Nairobi.

With the opening planned for Q4 2012, the final property names will be advised by Marketing and further information will be provided in due course.
