The Kempinski Spa is very large, spanning 2,800 square meters across two floors.
The interior design is a reflection of the natural and noble philosophy of the entire resort, providing every guest with a feeling of quietness and relaxation without making him feel lonely. Various relaxation areas, a separate Ladies Spa, an indoor swimming pool bathed in light, a fitness studio, treatment rooms and an extensive sauna area, an alpine garden and a natural Kneipp stream form the foundation for recreation, training and beauty.
How do you like the sound of “alpine warm wrap”, “aromatic relaxation journey”, “alpine stone mosaic” or “snow anemone”? This is what we call our applications with precious and natural textures. When it comes to the choice of products, the power of natural alpine produce is relied on. The Grand Hotel des Bains and the manufacturer of the exclusive Swiss beauty products Valmont became cooperation partners. This makes it the first Swiss hotel to cooperate with this famous brand. The best-known Valmont product is L’Elixir des Glaciers. It contains pure and soft glacier water from the Swiss Alps, particularly soothing to the ageing of skin. Additionally, you can choose from the precious Maria Galland products, from the full product range of the Austrian natural cosmetics producer Alpienne that consciously counts on the virtues of local herbs, resins, oils, hey and glacier water as well as the natural ointments and cremes by Soglio. Its offerings are rounded off with an Engadine gem, the small yet exquisite company Feuerstein.
There is hardly anything better than to lie back in soothing warmth and feel the body relax after you have spent a few hours in the fresh and crisp air, taken a ski tour or spent the time one a wonderful walking trip. You can choose between the moderate 65°C bio-sauna with medium humidity, the stone and herbal sauna, the dry and hot Finnish sauna and a steam bath with high humidity. And in between you can relax and reflect on the spa’s original philosophy (sanus per aquam), dive into the beautiful indoor pool or stalk through the natural Kneipp stream. And if you want to be on your own, a separate Ladies Spa with steam bath, sauna and additional relaxation rooms invite you.
Water is a vitally important element. The Mauritius spring originates in one of the hotel’s buildings. It has been excavated, is within comfortable distance from the hotel and available for our guests and visitors of the spa. The famous doctor Paracelsus has described the St. Moritz Mauritius spring as one of the healing springs of Europe. There is also a direct access from the hotel to the medical centre housing 15 doctors, including sport medicine specialists, better ageing specialists, cosmetic surgeons and general practitioners.
