The brasserie concept from Executive Chef Dennis Siesser and his team scores with an authentic, seasonal menu featuring French classics: Whether beefsteak tartare, sole meunière, cœur coulant au chocolat or Millefeuille Arlette - here, lovers of French cuisine will be delighted with everything from starters to desserts. The Cattani Brasserie is located in the premises of the Cattani Restaurant and invites you during the summer months also to its beautiful terrace with a view of Mount Hahnen.

Prabu Kalyanasundaram has been part of the culinary team at the Kempinski Palace Engelberg as Executive Sous Chef since July 2023. With his numerous positions in renowned Michelin-starred restaurants and international hotels, such as the Michelin-starred Rasoi by Vineet at the Mandarin Oriental in Geneva and the Indigo by Vineet at Grosvenor House Dubai, the Indian-born chef can look back on almost 20 years of experience in the catering industry.

From December 26, 2023, to January 6, 2024, award-winning chefs Douglas Tay and Prabu Kalyanasundaram will be crafting Asian specialties at our pop-up restaurant.

The history of afternoon tea goes back to 1840. It is said that it was Anna Russell, the seventh Duchess of Bedford and Queen Victoria's lady-in-waiting, to whom the British owe this tradition. To bridge the long wait until dinner, the Duchess had a tray of tea, bread, butter and some cake served to her in the afternoon: The afternoon tea was born. 

We serve our Afternoon Tea daily from 14:00 to 17:00. A must: finger sandwiches, scones with butter cream and sweets. Only one important question remains: Do you pour the milk or the tea into the cup first?
